wedding reception...5 months later

last weekend we had a party celebrating me and jared's marriage and ministry in costa rica. the party was at jared's parents house/backyard. all week, we were working hard preparing for the party, doing a lot of manual labor. it was the first time i experienced using a pressure washer, and i really enjoyed it. jared and i enjoyed working outside together and working as a team to get the work done. it all paid off. saturday came sooner than expected, and all the preperations got done...30 minutes before the party started, with little time to get ready.

that week, everyone was praying for the weather because all week the forecast predicted a 60% chance of rain in the evening. on the day of the party, it was pouring down rain all morning. it cleared up just in time to start putting things together outside and it was perfect weather during the hours of the celebration from 5-9. at exactly 9pm, it started raining. God is good.

thank you all who came and celebrated with us. we are truly blessed with your love, support, prayers, gifts and friendship. thank you for partnering with us in God's work in quepos, costa rica. please continue to pray for us as we focus on raising monthly support for God's ministry.

below are some pictures from the party:

classic dave pose (eileen's parents) jared's cousin and sister
catering folks...archer's...a pig roast. it was fun to have a pig out for all to see....some were shocked by it, but it just makes since...that's what they do in central/south america!
will and aaron...me and jared's brothers. it is so funny that our families are now connected by marriage because they were always good friends in high school....its cool. it is such a blessing how our families connect in a natural way.
the tent and some guests. i loved putting the tables together with antique table cloths that have been in the families for years as well as vases with flowers from kim's garden.
