hot, humid, and rainy days in quepos

friday and saturdays are the days for the feria, which is the market.  everyone sets up and people buy.  jared and a few guys from the center help set up for a couple there, which is great because they give the center some free veggies and jared and i a discount when we buy there.  here is jared being  a "mule", helping me with the bags full of veggies and fruit...by the way, he was making mule sounds as he was walking up the hill to our apartment.  
a few nights ago, we got a tuna fish, and jared filleted it....and we tried to cook it after a few attempts...eventually, it tasted good.  all the fisherman training helps with this!
here are some beautiful flowers we noticed as we were leaving for town the other day.

ok...so, here is jared playing a game called arkham horror.  we have had this game set up for about 3 days, and we just play bits at a time.  it is a strategy game...
more pictures of the feria...this is the place where jared and the guys from the center help set up.  it was raining all night and day, so it was very muddy.  

things are continuing to go well.  we have almost been here for 2 weeks, and it seems like we have been here for months.  tomorrow, i am going to visit a school to try to get a job, if there is an opening, if they will have me, and if God provides and allows it.  it would be for a 1/2 day...i will let you know what happens.  i am settled in now, where i need some challenge and change.  

the chuch we attend is also looking to make some changes in outreach and also to find a building to meet in.  right now, we are meeting at kim and laura's house.  jared helped with the music this week, which everyone enjoyed...and i will be helping with snacks and organizing potluck meals, which will be hosted at our place...right in time for football season.  i also might help with announcements...we will see.
