IAFA

we are getting some resistance from a national branch.  they are trying to close down the center.  so, we are trying to do everything that we can in order to prevent this from happening.  we need a lot of prayer as they certainly have the grounds to do so.  we don't have the required two bathrooms, and many other faults dealing with the infrastructure.  so, in order to fix these problems, we are looking more fervently for a new location for the program.

there is also an issue that we don't have a psychologist on staff along with a certified social worker.  the main problem, however, is the one concerning the physical house.  jimy told me that he has seen many programs shut down because of the facility, but none shut down because of the staffing (which he has seen many understaffed programs).  this organization is not warm to religious based organizations which produces another problem.

there is also a local here in quepos who is very rich and influential who has tried to buy the program several times, and he is now very upset with us as an association who has close friends in IAFA.  it's only speculation, but we believe it's strong speculation that he is also involved.  all this to say that the odds are stacked against us right now; but in this we rejoice, because if something changes, we know beyond doubt that God's hand is at work in the situation, and it is He that will get the glory.

please pray for this situation.

Acts 5:38-39 Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God."
