well, we shared our christmas week by having a visitor.  this past week we had an 86 year old living with us.  oscar, a graduate and current employee of our program had his mother come to visit him for the holidays and we offered to house her for the week.  it was a little hectic and at times uncomfortable mainly because it was very difficult to understand her and oscar was very busy with another job that week.  but all in all, it was a good opportunity to serve and care for others, for which we are thankful.  she was very scared of many things.  being from san jose, the capital, she thought she was in the wilderness jungle out here, which she said many times.  she had me scare away the lizards, and was also scared of the snakes.

i am lucky to have such a caring wife as i do in eileen.

I believe God is developing the gift of hospitality in the two of you. It's a beautiful thing to open your home and you seem to do it so graciously. What a blessing the little home on the hill has been to so many, including us.
