honey lately...

things have been very busy here lately.  i myself have enrolled in two theology classes at a local church.  my friends brian c and mike b would be proud of me as on class is a pentecostal theology.  the other is on some letters in the bible, we've studied james (my favorite) and now first peter.  these are all completely in spanish, and i am thankful for these opportunities.

we currently have six guys in the center, and that is our new maximum as we are turning one of our bedrooms into a food storage room.  we are doing this because previously, we had all of our tools, all of our food, and all of our office and administrative supplies in one very small room.  it helps us to be more in compliance with local agencies and also will provide us more of an office to help counsel and do work ourselves.  things are going well, we have two guys in-particular that are doing quite well, both have been there for about six months.  rafael and wiston.  these are two young guys, 18 and 20 who have their whole life ahead of them.  i am thankful for the work the Lord is doing in their life.

in our church we are doing something a little different by breaking up into small groups.  i lead an all spanish group, so again, more practice.  the language is really coming along and i also listen to podcasts to improve it even more.  i hope that in one more year, i will no longer have any problems as listening to spanish all day is still very mentally tiring.

the Lord has been more than faithful in providing for us and we continually thank him for that.  we will call on Him all the more now that Eileen is pregnant.  EILEEN IS PREGNANT if you didn't already know.  We have figured that the word has already spread to most and so have been late in writing it on this blog.  I want the child's name to be enoch, which was the son of jared in genesis 5.  if it's a girl, we'll probably go with marysol, pronounced  mar-ee-sol with an accent on the last syllable.  well, we'll be heading back to the states in a little over two months where we hope to see a great deal of you who are reading this blog.  keep in touch and we'd love to get together.  take care, and thank you for everything.
