disabled roommates

ok. this is crazy! when lauren and i moved in, we laughed that we were the ones moving into the handicapped cabin, but now we know why! first, i had an ongoing injury that put me in one of these stylish boots back in september 07. about a month ago, i had surgery, which put me on another great device...a teal knee scooter. yesterday, when i was talking to jared online....one of my gradmates knocked on my door to get my crutches (which is hilarious). a few minutes later, i hear some people....and they are rolling lauren to our cabin in a luggage cart. she was singing at the campfire for the kids and was doe-si-doeing and fractured her foot. oops! it was great because i had my scooter and crutches to offer her. i was trying to give her crutches lessons in our sink/bathroom area.
today, after her dr. visit, we had matching boots. this is really hard to believe. i mean, 2 out of 23 grads who are injured...who live in the same cabin, which happens to be handicapped accessible....and i have all the equipment and experience to help her out. wow. God is up to something :) the above picture is us in our nicely accessible shower, with a seat and railings.
